MEDIC Meeting 4/30

Hello Everyone, Today, Wednesday, April 30 from 4:30 to 6, MEDIC will be holding our meeting. Given this gorgeous weather, we will be holding our meeting OUTSIDE (most likely at the Vista Cafe in Foege). MEET IN THE REGULAR ROOM HST-498, and then we will walk over together. If you are late and we’ve left Health Sciences, go check on the Vista Cafe Balcony. Remember your sunglasses! Since we’re all probably thinking about summer (getting that beach body ready), what a better time to discuss the ethics of tanning booths, underage plastic surgery, and other forms of body modification. Kaia will be leading the discussion. Check out these articles if you would like more information: Washington bans underage tanning booths: http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2022895362_apxxgrtanningteens.html Is cosmetic surgery an acceptable graduation gift: http://www.nbcnews.com/id/17932515/ns/health-childrens_health/t/way-go-grad-heres-check-new-nose/#.U1_oxpNdVUU Doctor’s opinions on teenage plastic surgery: http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/758922 Snacks will be provided!
