Minor in Nutritional Sciences

Nutritional Sciences Students        Minor in Nutritional Sciences

Interested in nutrition? Want to know more about food studies and public health? The Minor in Nutritional Sciences is a strong addition for students interested in health fields. Students pursuing the minor are presented with a multidisciplinary perspective on the field of nutritional sciences, including its metabolic/biochemical, behavioral, and public health aspects.

Starting SPR 2015, there is a new elective course for the minor: NUTR 310 (4) Nutrition and the Life Course. In addition, one of the existing elective courses has a new name and increased credits: NUTR 411 (3) Diet in Health and Disease. The prereq for both courses is NUTR 300.

Minor requirements can be viewed online at http://depts.washington.edu/nutr/minor.html. Please contact ugnutr@uw.edu with any questions.
