GEN ST 297H: APPLYING TO HEALTH PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL SEMINAR

Are you planning to apply to health professional school within the next year?
The seminar will cover preparing an application, writing an effective personal statement, gathering recommendation letters, choosing schools, and interviewing. Class time will be spent on group work, short lectures, and visits from admissions experts
Grades will be based on in-class assignments, participation in interview exercises, and occasional out-of-class writing assignments, such as drafts of personal statements and professional school applications.
Students will direct their inquiry inward to identify strengths and areas for improvement, as they reflect on their readiness and motivation for a career in the health professions.
The seminar is open to anyone applying to graduate-level health professional schools, including but not limited to dentistry, medicine, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physician assistant, physical therapy, podiatry, and veterinary medicine.
