Husky Help and Hope Walk – May 20

On May 20th, Huskies for Suicide Prevention and Awareness (HSPA) and Forefront: Innovations in Suicide Prevention are hosting a 2-mile walk that will start at Sylvan Grove and wind through some of the most beautiful parts of the UW Seattle campus to provide a journey of hope and strength, with a projected number of 1000 attendees.

The H3 Walk is a UW Seattle campus and community-wide annual event aiming to offer support to survivors of suicide, commemorate those we have lost to suicide, and break mental health stigma. Mental health organizations from UW and around Seattle will be tabling to provide their resources at the event.

Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 that will go towards building and distributing Forefront Care Packages for families who have lost a loved one to suicide and HSPA’s Wellness Booklet, a student resource which contains in-depth information on depression, eating disorders, power-based relationships, and resources to relieve struggles.

The event is FREE and dog friendly. We will have food, inspirational speakers, musical acts, and a drawing for prizes provided by our sponsors. We hope you will join us.
