American Physician Scientists Association: Undergrad Mentor Program

APSA

The American Physician Scientists Association (APSA) is a trainee-led student organization for trainees in all phases of the physician-scientist training pathway.

An important part of APSA’s mission is undergraduate mentorship, with the goal of fostering the success of undergraduate students interested in a career as a physician scientist.

APSA is now beginning the fourth year of our undergraduate mentorship program. Through the program, undergraduate students interested in pursing a career as a physician scientist are paired with professional student mentors (MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent).

The year-long program provides one-on-one mentorship to undergraduate students, giving these students a point of contact for information and advice about physician scientist training.

While APSA undergraduate membership is required for participation, APSA is offering free undergraduate membership to any student who self-reports financial hardship.

For information about the program, and a link to the application, please visit the APSA website at: http://www.physicianscientists.org/?page=ugmentoring
