Join UW Global Medical/Dental Brigades
Gain experience in the field of public health and international medicine by joining Global Medical and Dental Brigades.
Global Medical and Dental Brigades at the University of Washington is a student organization that provides medical and public health services to communities around the world with limited access to health care.
Our group at the University of Washington focuses on communities in Nicaragua, where our student volunteers and health professionals work in mobile clinics and public health projects in under-resourced communities. During our summer brigades, students preform triage duties, shadow Nicaraguan doctors and dentists, and learn about effective public health strategies.
If you’re a student at UW interested in getting hands-on experience in medicine and global health, come learn more at our autumn 2017 info sessions. Our info sessions will be held on Monday, October 9 and Tuesday, October 10 in Smith Hall, room 120 from 7-8PM.
