About the speaker:
Dr. Clarence Spigner teaches in the UW Department of Health Services and leads the popular study abroad program “Dark Empire: Race, Health & Society in Britain.” His teaching and research interests include social determinants and inequalities in health, program planning and evaluation, qualitative research methods, racism and discrimination and the intersections of popular culture. He is also faculty director of the Peace Corps Master’s International program for the Global Health Department.
