Capillaries: The Journal of Narrative Medicine is a project currently funded by a 2019-2020 Resilience Lab and Campus Sustainability Seed Fund. Capillaries’ mission is to provide students of all majors and backgrounds with the opportunity to write and create works of art about their experiences with health.
Submitted works can range anywhere from personal anecdotes to reflections/articles on community/national/global health issues. In previous publications, they shared stories of love and loss, of coming to terms with identity, and of understanding what it means to be a global citizen in the 21st century. Students can submit assignments/essays that they have previously worked on or are working on in the class for publication in the journal. The submission deadline for the Autumn 2019 publication is Monday October 21st @ 11:59.
