Minimum
Quals |
A Master’s or Ph.D. degree involving major study in
statistics or biostatistics, or in social science or public health with a
strong emphasis in epidemiology and/or statistics. Demonstrable knowledge of
research methods and report writing. One or more years of professional
research experience and writing technical research-related documents. Strong
ability to synthesize complicated data and information and present in clear
understandable format. At least basic data management skills. Advanced
computer skills using SPSS and/or SPlus, Egret, etc. Ability to conduct
moderator/mediator analyses, as in Baron and Kenny (1986). Familiarity with
exact tests and likelihood ratios tests. Mastery of logistic regression and
survival analyses, including Cox Proportional Hazards Model and alternatives.

Quals |
Good verbal communication skills. Ability to work
independently as well as cooperatively and collaboratively. Experience with
social services administrative data would be helpful. |
