PSO Committees

Much of PSO's work happens in committees and work groups. We also have a (non-voting) representative on each of the Faculty Council committees.

Current Standing Committees are Communications, Scholarship and Professional Development, Finance, Legislative, Outreach and Membership Engagement, Special Events.

Work groups are temporary committees focused on specific PSO efforts. Current work groups are Elections and Governance.

Any professional staff member may participate in PSO's committees and work groups, or become a PSO representative or alternate representative to a faculty council committee.

Participating on a committee or being a representative is an excellent way to network with your peers in other departments and practice your leadership skills, while contributing to the quality of worklife at the UW.

For more information about membership on and activities of PSO committees, faculty committees, or work groups contact the committee chairs.
