Puget Sound Writing Project Teacher Consultants can work with administrators and instructional leaders to develop specific professional development for teaching writing and thinking skills in their schools or districts. One format is a three-five credit imbedded writing institute. Another is several two-three hour after-school sessions. Training can also be scheduled during Learning Improvement Days. Content could focus on writing-to-learn in subject areas, learning from student work, promoting academic writing, revision or any number of topics related to improving student writing and thinking skills.
