Over 24 years, the Puget Sound Writing Project has become the University of Washington's single most successful humanities based K-12 partnership.

The PSWP offers an Invitational Institute and an Open Institute for all teachers interested in writing and the teaching of writing, and Young Writers Workshops for students in grades 6-8 and 9-12 and onsite workshops in partnership with schools and districts.

The Puget Sound Writing Project is co-sponsored by the University of Washington's Department of English and College of Education, and by the National Writing Project. Community partners include Seattle Arts & Lectures, Powerful Schools and Hugo House.
