These dtopo files have been used in GeoClaw simulations to specify the intial sea floor deformation that generates a tsunami.

as extended to the north by the PMEL NCTR group. See the Snohomish County THA Report for discussion of this source and how it relates to the "UW extension" used earlier. We do not have the subfault parameters that were used to create the original L1 surface deformation file.
CSZ_XL1-extended-pmel.tt3 [figure] (25 MB)
The CSZ XL1 deformation from Witter et al. was extended to the north in the same way as L1. This deformation file was obtained by magnifying CSZ_L1-extended-pmel.tt3 as described in Northwest Washington THA Report of 2020.
seattlefault_uniform.tt3 [figure] (54MB)
Hypothetical Seattle Fault event called SF-L in recent reports. This seafloor deformation file was created by using the Okada model implemented in the GeoClaw dtopotools module, applied to the subfault parameters in SF_Mw7.3_W35_mu30.csv. See the Snohomish County THA Report for more discussion of this source, and this Jupyter notebook output for from some exploration of the issues raised in the report.
AKmaxWA.tt3 [figure] (1.3MB)
Hypothetical Alaska event with Mw 9.27 designed by PMEL to be similar to the 1964 Alaska event but to give maximal impact on the WA coast. This seafloor deformation file was created by using the Okada model implemented in the GeoClaw dtopotools module, applied to the NOAA SIFT unit source parameters given in AKmaxWA_unitsources.txt. This Jupyter notebook output shows the code used to create the deformation file. See Island/Skagit County THA Report of 2019 for discussion. This Jupyter notebook output presents more exploration of various Alaska sources used in past studies.
