CURRENT RESEARCH
INTERESTS
Research projects all deal with the gas exchange
function of the lungs. Studies into the
mechanisms governing the matching of ventilation
and perfusion. Studies deal with the effects of
stresses, such as exercise, high gravity, and low
gravity. Projected studies will also deal with
the impact of lung disease on the VA/Q
controlling mechanisms.
