The QERM program is uniquely interdisciplinary, bringing together diverse faculty from a wide range of academic areas. This diversity provides strength to the program, providing access to diverse research opportunities and partnerships with many private and public sector agencies dedicated to the promotion of natural resource management.
Students select their research in collaboration with QERM faculty. In some instances, students come to the program to work with a specific faculty member. The majority of students select their research topic and the faculty they will work with after completing their qualifying examinations. This process of developing a research area of interest offers the student flexibility but also requires initiative and communication skills. QERM students are expected to be proactive in finding a suitable research area and research advisor.
You are encouraged to review the MS and PhD research completed by QERM alumni.
