Prasad lab successfully procured and installed a NEW Mass Spec, Sciex TripleTOF 5600 in UWSOP mass spec center for SWATH/DIA proteomics and metabolomics experiments.

 

 

 

Dr. Deepak Bhatt received ASPET Best Presentation Award 2017 (first place)

Dr. Deepak Bhatt received Best Presentation Award 2017 (first place) in the 2017 ASPET meeting, Chicago for his presentation on “Best Practices for Robust LC-MS/MS Quantification of Drug Metabolizing Enzymes and Transporters to Predict Inter-Individual Variability: Case Examples of Hepatic Cytosolic ADHs and ALDH1A1”.

Prasad lab welcomes Dr. Abdul Basit

Dr. Basit did his PhD and Postdoc from Drug Discovery and Development department, Italian Institute of Technology, Italy.  Dr. Basit will be working on understanding the effect of gut microbiome on the androgen related metabolome and proteome.

Bhagwat Prasad, Ph.D has been appointed as the Co-Director of UWRAPT

Bhagwat Prasad, Ph.D has been appointed as the Co-Director of UWRAPT by Dr. Unadkat, effective Dec 1, 2016. In collaboration with Dr. Unadkat (founder of UWRAPT), he will help Dr. Unadkat oversee the day to day UWRAPT research and contribute to its future directions. Dr. Prasad has been associated with UWRAPT since its inception and served as the first lead scientist of the program. Since then, Dr. Prasad has been contributing to the research and training of several students, postdoctoral fellows and scientists within UWRAPT.

Prasad Lab welcomes visiting scientist, Meijuan Xu, Ph.D. from China

September, 2016

Meijuan got her Ph.D. in State Key Laboratory of Natural Medicines, China Pharmaceutical University. Before coming to Prasad’s lab, Meijuan has worked in the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine for ten years. She has previously done researches on the effects of herb medicine on the arachidonic acid metabolism by P450 enzymes in cardiovascular systems. She is also experienced in method development in small molecular compounds analysis using LC-MS and LC-MS/MS systems, and in vivo and in vitro DMPK studies.
