Washington Health Legislative Conference
Since 1985, the Washington Health Legislative Conference has brought together stakeholders from across the state to discuss current and potential health legislation. The largest nonpartisan conference of its kind in our state, the conference consistently attracts over 500 health care providers, payers, consumers, public officials, lobbyists, researchers and more each year.
UW Dept of Health Services Policy Seminar Series
The University of Washington Department of Health Services and the Resource Center for Health Policy co-sponsor a monthly policy seminar. The purpose of this series is two-fold: to provide an overview of important health policy topics to faculty and staff in other fields, and to allow School of Public Health faculty and staff to become better acquainted with colleagues' work.
2007 Genomics Workshop
The University of Washington Resource Center for Health Policy, in conjunction with the Center for Genomics and Healthcare Equality, the Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research and Policy Program, and the Center for Genomics and Public Health, hosted a Genomics Workshop in Seattle, Washington on October 29-31, 2007. The purpose of this workshop was to develop a road map for the integration of genetic testing into the delivery of health care, addressing the gap between advances in genomics and health care.
2008 Genomics Workshop
The University of Washington Resource Center for Health Policy, in conjunction with the Center for Genomics and Healthcare Equality and the Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research and Policy Program, hosted a second Genomics Workshop in Seattle, Washington on December 3-5, 2008.
