The Mission of the Resource Center
The mission of the Resource Center is to improve the quality of health policy analysis and decision-making at the national, regional, and state levels by increasing the objectivity and rigor of accessible policy-relevant research and information, and by facilitating and supporting informed dialogue about important health policy issues. This mission will be accomplished by facilitating, initiating, and disseminating health policy research around a theme of translating science and technology into health policy research and practice.

Our Four Focus Areas
- Assessing the impact of advances in technology on health care financing and delivery (particularly genomics), including the distribution of health care resources;
- Evaluating the effects and the interaction among the multiple determinants of health;
- Integrating the best practices of medicine into a health care delivery system in transition; and
- Achieving primary prevention of illnesses and injuries through the identification of opportunities for the promotion of health and wellness and control of hazards to public safety and health.
