David A. Winston Health Policy Scholarship

The objective of the Scholarship is to increase the number and quality of individuals trained in healthcare policy at the state and federal level by awarding deserving health policy students financial support to further their education.

Eligibility: First year graduate students studying health policy (U.S. citizenship required)
Awards: Ten $5,000 awards per academic year


KaiserEDU.org Annual Essay Contest

KaiserEDU.org is now accepting entries for its Annual Essay Contest, giving undergraduate and graduate students a chance to win a prize of $1,000 by writing an essay addressing the elements of health reform that President Obama's team should focus on in 2009.

Awards: Undergraduate and graduate students will be judged separately. Winners will receive $1,000 (first prize); $500 (second prize).


Alice S. Hersh Student Scholarship for AcademyHealth Conferences

The Scholarship provides two free registrations to the National Health Policy Conference (NHPC) and two to the Annual Research Meeting (ARM). The scholarship is designed to encourage professional and educational development in health services research and policy among student members.

UW Health Sciences Rotaract

UWHS Rotaract is a service based club at the University of Washington, Health Sciences and is sponsored by the University Sunrise Rotary club. UWHS Rotaract is also a Registered Student Organization. The UWHS Rotaract International Service Scholarship is designed to provide UWHS Rotaract club members with an opportunity to travel abroad to participate in service and research experiences.

Leslieanne Shedd Memorial Fund

The fund provides financial assistance to students who will serve as unpaid interns in organizations that are engaged in some aspect of international affairs, especially those in the international public health field.

Awards: The amount of each award will be determined by the Jackson School, dependent upon the availability of funds and the terms of the internship
