Paying for College
The University of Washington helps to make your education affordable by providing financial assistance in a number of areas – from grants and loans to scholarships and work-study opportunities. Each year the UW awards more than $240 million in aid to over half of our undergraduate students. Be sure to apply for financial aid by the priority filing date of February 28. Finding scholarships will be a tough process. As you search for scholarship keep in mind that the investment that you make in your education will certainly pay off. Below are a few resources to get you started.
- Husky Promise
Husky Promise guarantees full tuition and standard fees will be covered by grant or scholarship support for eligible Washington state students.
- UW Diversity Scholarship
The UW 20 Diversity Scholarships in the amount of $10,000 annually, for a total value of $40,000. The scholarship privately supported by generous contributions of many individuals, organizations and local businesses, including Costco, Chateau Ste. Michelle, and Safeco. All high school students applying for the summer or fall term and who complete the FAFSA are evaluated for consideration. No separate application is necessary.
