Essence of Success (EOS) Conference

Event Date

Saturday, October 10, 2015 Friday, November 6, 2015

In order to fully accommodate all of our students we have decided to reschedule Essence of Success. We graciously request your understanding as we delay the process to fully guarantee the event is enjoyable to all participants.

Target Group

African-American high school seniors.

Essence of Success is a one-day conference for African-American high school seniors who are interested in attending the University of Washington-Seattle. “Essence” was created to encourage African-American students to pursue higher education as well as give them a closer view of the UW through the eyes of academic excellence and diversity enhancement.

Participants will meet future classmates, learn about campus programs, and discover the diversity and unity that exists within the UW community. They will participate in writing and application workshops, cultural activities and get a chance to experience life as a future Husky! You are guaranteed a lot of fun and a rewarding, worthwhile experience! (Note: participation is open to all students regardless of race).

Please note: it is highly recommended that you have a copy of your unofficial transcript and a completed Parent Permission form ready before beginning the application; you may submit the application without uploading these two forms, however, it will not be considered complete or considered for approval until we have received these two documents. If you cannot upload the forms here within the application, please still turn it in but email or fax the forms to us as soon as possible.

Your application will be considered once all documents have been received: (1) application (2) Parent Permission Form (3) unofficial high school transcript.
Please contact with any questions, we are here to help!
