Target Group

Underrepresented High School Southeast Asian Americans. Priority consideration will be given first to students with ethnic heritage from Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. Priority will be given to high school juniors and seniors.


Southeast Asians Overcoming Adversity & Rising (SOAR) is a one-day conference hosted by the University of Washington Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity’s Recruitment and Outreach Division to encourage students to pursue higher education. Students will get the opportunity to learn about admissions process, work on their application for the UW, meet and interact with UW students and staff, and experience the UW Campus.

Transportation Deadline: October 11th. Space is limited so please apply by this deadline.
