OMAD CAMP

College Assistance Migrant Program

Now that you have applied for admission to the University of Washington, We would like to invite you to consider applying for the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) as well. CAMP is federally-funded to serve 50 first-year college students from migrant and/or seasonal farm working families.

The CAMP program provides CAMP eligible students, known as CAMP Scholars, academic and personal support, financial assistance, and retention services. Although this invitation to apply for CAMP has no bearing on your admission decision, we believe that this program would provide you with some great services if you are admitted to the UW and become a CAMP Scholar.

A few of the CAMP services offered are:

  • Academic skills assessment
  • Access to scholarships
  • CAMP summer orientation program
  • CAMP seminar
  • Career development
  • Cultural and social events
  • Financial aid counseling
  • Mentoring, personal counseling, and academic advising
  • Tutoring and instructional support
  • Up to $1200 stipend for participation

Application Deadline

  • A complete UW CAMP application needs to be post marked by March 5th 2012
  • No faxed application will be accepted
  • Applications submitted after March 5th will be placed on a waitlist

This CAMP invitation has no bearing on your UW admissions decision. CAMP is a competitive program and we encourage students to apply early.
