Description
YGB utilizes African-American history and culture in such a way that motivates, inspires, and empowers attendees to take control of their future. The purpose of this conference is to promote positive self-esteem and cultural awareness, while simultaneously emphasizing the importance of higher education. We hope that the workshops, and interactions with current African-American UW students will provide both the resources and role models that will help your students make a commitment to pursue higher education. This event contributes to the larger university goal of increasing diversity in higher education.
