New position available: Learning Manager

Information is the lifeblood of a university, both in terms of teaching students and in learning about its operations. With information systems as sophisticated as the UW's, that learning process is multi-faceted and increasingly important. The University's Office of the Information Officer for Student Life (IOSL) understands this and is looking for the right person to step into the role of Learning Manager.

What’s in a name? “Registra” or “Registrar”

Shakespeare wrote, "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." The same is true of the Office of the University Registrar, which answers to both "registra" and "registrar" as our e-mail address.

Autumn 09 sets record for online grade submittal

Grades for autumn quarter 2009 have been submitted and they tell a very clear story: online grade submission is a hit! The proof is in the numbers: a whopping 85% of on-time grade submittals for autumn 09 were online!
