
Mary R. Dolan started working at UW in the fall of 1987. Her time at the University has centered on the creation of and maintenance of student records. In 1991, she joined the Registrar's Office as supervisor of the Registration Office. She transferred to Data Services/Data Management in 1998. One of the main roles she now has is to train new staff how to navigate through the various screens in the Student Database. Helping others learn new skills has been the path of her working life from her first job teaching both students and teachers in the computer lab of a middle school in Billings, MT. She is a firm believer that cross training and sharing knowledge and job skills creates a better working environment and happier staff. In her private life, she assists dogs train their owners how to communicate in ways both of them may understand.
