Fee-based Programs

Below is a list of current Fee-Based Programs at the University of Washington. For more information on these programs, and how they differ from state-funded programs, please read the Fee-based Programs FAQ.

Requests for an Official Record of non-credit/certificate courses should be made to Program Central Support in the UW Tower, 13th Floor.

• Program Code - Maps to a concatenated primary key within the Enterprise Datawarehouse UWSDBDataStore:
  sr_major_code.(major_branch + major_abbr + major_pathway) and if exists sr_degree_code (degree_level,degree_type)
• Reg. (Registration) - Registration is done by the department (Dept) or Professional and Continuing Education (PCE), or on MyUW for ESL registrations only.
• Billing - Majors subject to fees are billed quarterly for each student enrolled on the census day of the quarter. The UW Student Technology Fee and other mandatory fees vary based on a student's total quarterly credit load.
  • 1 = Student Fiscal Services bills course fees, U-PASS and Student Health Insurance when applicable.
  • 2 = UW PCE collects fees, including Services and Activities fees, and Technology Fee at time of registration.
  • 3 = Fees are added to Student Accounts System by department.
  • 4 = Course Fee is added to SLN by Time Schedule Office.
• Fin. (Financial) Aid
  • 0 = Eligible for financial aid
  • 1 = Not eligible for any aid
  • 2 = Not eligible for federal aid
  • 3 = Not eligible for state/institutional aid
• Imm. Req. (Immunization Required) - The Disability Information Option form is included with the Enrollment Confirmation Acknowledgement letter when they are sent to the specific department or coordinators. If the letters 'IMM' are included on the Enrollment Confirmation Acknowledgement, the student needs to provide proof of measles immunity. Please see the UW Measles Requirements for instructions and the required form.
