Kevin J. McQuade, PT, MPH, PhD

Director, Human Motion Analysis Research Lab

Patient Care
Dr. McQuade’s clinical interests are sports physical therapy and management of musculoskeletal disorders.

Research
His research interests include clinical biomechanics related to the management and prevention of joint injury, and the role of muscle strengthening and neuromuscular training in
maintaining fitness in the elderly.

Teaching
Dr. McQuade is involved in DPT courses in Musculoskeletal Management and
Therapeutic Exercise.

Training
Dr. McQuade received his Physical Therapy training at California State University, Long Beach, followed by graduate training at the University of Washington (MPH). He earned his Doctorate at the University of Iowa, and
completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Maryland.

Dr. McQuade held appointments as Assistant Professor at New York Medical College and at the University of Maryland before joining the University of Washington.
