Diversity Council
The Diversity Council for the Academic Programs in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is an advisory group in service of the Department’s commitment to nurture an open and inclusive learning environment that welcomes and fosters the development of a diverse student body.
The Council reflects the Department's dedication to this purpose and the Department’s value of diversity. We recognize the importance of preparing rehabilitation professionals from diverse backgrounds to best meet the rehabilitation needs of our increasingly diverse population.
The Diversity Council meets a minimum of two times per year. Primary goals of the Council are to:
- Advise and support the Department in the recruitment and retention of a diverse student body.
- Assist the Department in the ongoing development of an open and inclusive learning environment.
- Identify resources and strategies that support these goals.
