Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Fellowship
VA Puget Sound Health Care System
The Veterans Administration Puget Sound Health Care System of Seattle, in partnership with the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Portland OR, is now offering a one- to three-year multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology fellowship. The fellowship commences July 2008.
Fellows receive intensive training in diagnosis and management, disease modifying therapies, clinical trials, development of novel therapies and use of Telehealth. The program offers research opportunities, training in cellular and molecular immunology, use of quantitative MRI, interaction with nationally recognized MS experts, and one-on-one didactic training.
This position includes a competitive salary, benefits, and choice of Seattle or Portland locations, a strong emphasis on career development including advanced research methods and analysis, and grant writing skills.

University of Washington MS Fellowship
The Western MS Center at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA, is offering a one-year clinical fellowship in multiple sclerosis rehabilitation to begin July, 2008.
The Western MS Center at UWMC is one of the largest in the US, and treats over 3,000 patients. In addition, the UW houses the only MS Rehabilitation Research and Training Center in the country. Fellows participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient consultation, electrodiagnostic medicine, radiology, formal didactics, journal club, and related research. The curriculum emphasizes rehabilitation in a clinical setting. A didactic series and specialized materials address the fellow’s educational needs.
Training sites include the University of Washington Medical Center and the MS Center at Evergreen Hospital. Mentorship is provided by George H. Kraft, MD, MS, director of the Western MS Center at the University of Washington.
