Sports and Spine Medicine

This is a one year academic fellowship offering an outstanding clinical experience to develop trainees into well-rounded musculoskeletal physiatrists.  The fellow will gain clinical experience with spine, spine interventions, EMG/NCV, general musculoskeletal disorders, and a variety of sports medicine conditions.

The fellow will have the opportunity to work with and learn from many of the renowned faculty of the University of Washington, from PM&R and other specialties.  The fellow will have a clinical base at the office of Puget Sound Sports and Spine Physicians within a university multispecialty spine center; however, s/he will have all the resources of the University of Washington, including regular departmental didactics and specialty conferences  (Spine Grand Rounds, Pain Grand Rounds, Sports Academic Conference, etc).

Finally, there will be ample teaching opportunities with residents and medical students as well as opportunities for research.
