Occupational Therapy Degree Programs:
Master of Science (MS)
The University of Washington offers a Master of Science
Medicine program (Occupational Therapy Pathway) that is approved
by the Graduate School of the University. This program is
designed for practicing therapists who wish to pursue advanced
graduate studies to enhance their professional growth. The
program is individualized to meet each student's interests,
skills, and goals. Elective opportunities complement core
courses in evidence-based practice and research.
The elective opportunities include specialized seminars,
self-designed independent studies, mentored advanced clinical
experiences, and a wealth of courses from throughout the University.
Students may enroll on a full or part time basis, and the
time required for completing the program varies accordingly.
Full-time students generally complete the coursework in three
to four quarters. The additional time spent completing the
thesis requirement varies and may be done on a part-time basis.
