University of Washington ranks #3 nationally for Rehabilitation Care in latest "US News and World Report" survey. We are pleased to report that the University of Washington has been ranked #3 nationally for rehabilitation care in the 2007 "US News and World Report" rankings. We remain the top-rated hospital-based rehabilitation program (the #1 and #2 facilities in the rankings are freestanding rehabilitation hospitals). Scoring is based on reputational survey by Board certified physicians in PM&R nationally over the last three years. Since this is a reputational ranking, we believe this reflects well on our clinical programs throughout the UW Medicine system, including the Rehabilitation Medicine programs at University of Washington Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center, the VA Puget Sound Health Care System, and the Eastside Specialty Clinic. Further information about the "US News & World Report" rankings can be obtained at their website http://www.usnews.com

Our faculty is committed to staying at the forefront of residency training, dedicating time and resources to this investment in the future of rehabilitation medicine. In order to facilitate the continued development of the program, we are seeking to establish an Endowed Professorship, which would allow the current and future residency program directors to devote more time to the residency program.
