2014 Dr. Charles A. Coltman, Jr. Fellowship Program

https://thehopefoundation.org/assets/ColtmanRFAfor2014.pdf

The primary purpose of the Dr. Charles A. Coltman, Jr., Fellowship is to engage outstanding young investigators from SWOG affiliated institutions in learning clinical trial methodology within an academic and cooperative group environment that will lead to independent clinical research, while honoring the legacy of long-time SWOG Chair and leader, Dr. Charles Coltman. Each year, 2-year Fellowships of $50,000/year are provided as salary support for new investigators, ensuring that their time is protected for mentored research in the clinic or laboratory. This program funds investigators from a current SWOG affiliated institution who have accepted a faculty position. Institutions may nominate up to two candidates annually. The applicant must have a mentorship arrangement with a notable Group leader who has proven expertise in clinical trials recruitment and management.

Inquiries and Contact Information

Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.

For general inquiries, or to request a listing of a limited submission opportunity that should be but is not already listed, please email us at limitedsubs@uw.edu.
