Simons Award for Graduate Students in Theoretical Computer Science 2014

The Simons FoundationDivision for Mathematics and the Physical Sciences invites applications for the Simons Award for Graduate Students in Theoretical Computer Science program. These awards will be made to graduate students with an outstanding track record of research accomplishments.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, the applicant must be a graduate student who has completed two, three or four years at a U.S. or Canadian institution of higher education. A track record of outstanding results in theoretical computer science is the key criterion. There are no citizenship requirements. Grants are awarded to the student’s home institution. There is a limit of two applications per university. Please coordinate with the relevant university officials.

If you are interested in applying, please email your name, department, before 5:00 PM Tuesday February 4, 2014. Full proposals are due to the sponsor on 2/12/14, so you will need to have your materials in to the Office of Sponsored Programs by 2/5/14 for processing, if given the go ahead by the Proposal Review Committee. Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
