Office of Research
2015 AAF Scholar Award
Most of our Awardees are studying asthma for the first time. And unlike most other programs, the AAF considers good ideas that have not yet been tested.
- No preliminary results are required.
- The application is brief (only seven pages).
- Innovation and risk are strongly encouraged.
Enjoy freedom and funding.
AAF Scholars will receive support of $150,000 a year for two years with the possibility of an additional $150,000 for a third year – a total of $450,000.
The AAF wants your cutting-edge research and we don't want to stand in the way of innovative thinking. If you receive an AAF Award, you will find that we impose very few rules. This is a chance to pursue bold new thinking, free of expectations and preconceived notions.
Application Instructions
*Note: This is not a limited submission and is being announced as a courtesy only.
Inquiries and Contact Information
Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
For general inquiries, or to request a listing of a limited submission opportunity that should be but is not already listed, please email us at limitedsubs@uw.edu.
