2015 Fund to Retain Clinical Scientists

The purpose of the Fund to Retain Clinical Scientists is to provide supplemental, flexible funds to early-career physician scientists working on clinical research projects and facing extraprofessional demands of caregiving. The goal of this program is to retain early-career physician scientists in research.  

 

Grants will be awarded to U.S. medical schools and affiliated research hospitals that will administer this program and will provide supplemental funds to physician scientists at their institutions. Individuals are not eligible to apply directly to DDCF for these institutional awards.

Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
