This career development award is to help develop the independent research of highly-qualified individuals still early in their careers (no more than seven years as a faculty member, post-fellowship). (Up to $110,000/year, three-year minimum, with an opportunity for two additional years.) This award is for a Scholar’s salary and benefits only; adjustments may be allowed if the Scholar receives other funds after applying, upon Foundation approval.

Application Instructions

Please submit:

  1. a two-page letter of intent with a description of proposed aims and approach
  2. Biosketch or CV of the PI
  3. A letter of support from the Dean or Chair. This letter of support signifies that the Dean or Chair have ensured that the nominee and application are likely to be of sufficient quality to be competitive nationally

 

to research@uw.edu by 5:00 PM Thursday, January 21, 2016. A required LOI is due to the sponsor 1/29/16. Full proposals are due to the sponsor 4/1/16, so you will need to have your materials in to the Office of Sponsored Programs by 3/24/16 for processing, if given the go ahead by the Proposal Review Committee.
