Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH)
This announcement solicits applications for the Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH) Training Program. The purpose of this program is to prepare maternal and child health leaders in adolescent[1] and young adult[2] health within at least five (5) core health disciplines, including medicine, nursing, nutrition, psychology, and social work by providing interdisciplinary leadership training to health professionals at the graduate and postgraduate levels. [1] For the purposes of this FOA, adolescents refer to individuals aged 10 through 17 years. [2] For the purposes of this FOA, young adults refer to individuals aged 18 through 26 years.
Application Instructions
Please submit:
- a one-page letter of intent with a description of proposed aims and approach
- Biosketch or CV of the PI
- A letter of support from the Dean or Chair. This letter of support signifies that the Dean or Chair have ensured that the nominee and application are likely to be of sufficient quality to be competitive nationally
to research@uw.edu by 5:00 PM Thursday September 22, 2016. Proposals are due to the sponsor 10/10/16, so you will need to have your materials in to the Office of Sponsored Programs by 9/30/16 for processing, if given the go ahead by the Proposal Review Committee.

Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
