Stimulating Access to Research in Residency (StARR) (R38)

Limited Submissions

This award supports institutional programs of mentored research opportunities designed for Resident-Investigators to engage in research projects with experienced investigators for a minimum of one contiguous year, and a maximum of two years, with the goal of accelerating the transition of participating residents to subsequent research and career development support.

Application Instructions

Please submit a 1-2 page description of how your proposed or existing program will fulfill the required program components.

 

to research@uw.edu by 5:00 PM Thursday November 29, 2018. Proposals are due to the sponsor 2/13/19, so you will need to have your materials in to the Office of Sponsored Programs by 2/5/19 for processing, if given the go ahead by the Proposal Review Committee.

Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
