Childhood Asthma in Urban Settings Clinical Research Network- Leadership Center (UM1 Clinical Trial Required)

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to solicit applications for the NIAID Childhood Asthma in Urban Settings Clinical Research Network Leadership Center (CAUSE-LC). The CAUSE-LC will provide the overall scientific strategy and organizational structure to the CAUSE Clinical Research Network and will interact closely with the CAUSE Clinical Research Centers (CAUSE -CRCs) to support the conduct of multi-site clinical studies and trials with the ultimate goal of developing effective interventions or asthma prevention approaches applicable to children residing in low-income urban settings.

Application Instructions

Please submit:

  1. a one-page letter of intent with a description of proposed aims and approach
  2. CV (not NIH format)  of the PI
  3. A letter of support from the Dean or Chair. This letter of support signifies that the Dean or Chair have ensured that the nominee and application are likely to be of sufficient quality to be competitive nationally

 

to research@uw.edu by 5:00 PM Thursday April 9, 2020. Proposals are due to the sponsor 6/19/20, so you will need to get your materials in to OSP by 6/10/20, if given the go-ahead by the limited submissions review committee.

$0 (Application budgets are limited to $4.3 million direct costs and need to reflect the actual needs of the proposed projects. This includes funding for 1) the CAUSE-LC functions, 2) the CAUSE network-wide clinical projects including protocol-specific funds)
