Research funding available for collaborative neuroscience: Weill Neurohub request for proposals
Note: This is not a limited submission and is sent as a courtesy.
The Weill Neurohub is seeking collaborative research proposals focused on innovative neuroscientific approaches to studying and treating neurological and psychiatric diseases. This RFP covers two funding mechanisms: the Investigator Program, open to teams of faculty researchers from all three of UW, UCSF, and UC Berkeley, for up to $1M of funding over two years, and the Next Great Ideas Fund, open to teams of two or more faculty researchers from UW, UCSF, and/or UC Berkeley, for up to $250k of funding over up to three years. The full text of the RFP and instructions to apply are attached, and are also available at our website: weillneurohub.org/rfp.
The Weill Neurohub, established with the exceptional generosity of Joan and Sanford I. “Sandy” Weill and the Weill Family Foundation, brings together world-class researchers and clinicians from the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and the University of Washington (UW) to advance our understanding of neuroscience and speed the development of new treatments for neurological and psychiatric diseases. This collaborative effort is underpinned by unmatched computational power and device manufacturing capabilities at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Inquiries and Contact Information
Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
For general inquiries, or to request a listing of a limited submission opportunity that should be but is not already listed, please email us at limitedsubs@uw.edu.
