NCAE-C in Cybersecurity Education Research Innovation 2022

This solicitation sets forth guidelines for areas of interest in cybersecurity for academic institutions designated as a National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) and known as National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, Research, and/or National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations (hereinafter referred to as NCAE-Cs). This solicitation is issued under Section 6.102(d) (2) of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and under section 22.315 of the Department of Defense Grant and Agreement Regulations (DoDGARs), which provides for the competitive selection of proposals. Solicitations may be used by Agencies to fulfill their requirements for scientific study and experimentation directed towards advancing the state of the art or increasing knowledge and understanding, rather than focusing on a specific system or hardware solution. Proposals submitted in response to this BAA that are selected for award are considered to be the result of competition in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2361 and 32 C.F.R. Section 22.315 and 22.325.

The National Security Agency / NCAE-C Program Office is soliciting proposals for grants in the area of cybersecurity research from NCAE-Cs. Proposals using innovative approaches, employing input from a diverse set of cyber education professionals are sought.

Application Instructions

Please submit:

  1. A one‐page letter of intent with a description of proposed aims and approach
  2. If the final application requires a diversity statement or statement of broader impacts, please summarize your plans to address the specific requirements on an additional page.
  3. Biosketch or CV of the PI

to research@uw.edu by 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Proposals are due to the sponsor 6/3/2022, so you will need to have your materials in to the Office of Sponsored Programs by 5/31/2022 to meet GIM19 guidelines if given the go‐ahead by the review committee.
