Research Programs

The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) Research Program is seeking proposals for several new contract research studies. These projects include:
- ITD Bridge Research Roadmap Development
- Idaho Wrong Way Driving Hotspot Assessment
- Study of Idaho Degradation Test and Other Test Methods for Assessing Aggregate Quality
Clarifying questions may be submitted by 12/23/2022.
The ITD Research Program will be issuing additional RFPs in the coming weeks. Topics will include:
- Alive at 25 Young Driver Education Program Effectiveness Evaluation
- Alkali-Silica Reaction Mitigation Strategies
- In-Situ and Remote Sensing-Based Monitoring Methods to Improve Efficiency and Accuracy of Landslide Monitoring
- Geotechnical Asset Management for Rock Slopes and Rockfall Risk Assessment
- Traffic Incident Management Training Program Development
- Guidance on Evaluating the Value of Large Datasets for Safety Analytics
Inquiries and Contact Information
Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
