Note: This is not a limited submission and is being announced as a courtesy only.
The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) invites letters of intent from early career academic investigators, especially those who are new to the field of neurodegeneration, for the Ben Barres Early Career Acceleration Award. Awards are $1.2M in total costs over 4 years, and will provide mentored support for early career investigators to conduct bold, innovative, and rigorous research in the basic science underlying neurodegenerative disease and fundamental neuroscience. Early career investigators will also benefit from the CZI Neurodegeneration Challenge Network (NDCN). Learn about our Cycle 1 grantees and apply now.
The NDCN is hosting an informational webinar about the Ben Barres Early Career Acceleration Award on April 5, 2023, from 9-10 am Pacific Time to talk more about the opportunity and answer pre-submitted questions. Register and submit questions in advance.
Inquiries and Contact Information
Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
For general inquiries, or to request a listing of a limited submission opportunity that should be but is not already listed, please email us at limitedsubs@uw.edu.
