Platform Technologies for Transformative Battery Manufacturing

This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is being issued by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office (AMMTO). The mission of AMMTO is to advance energy-related materials and manufacturing technologies to increase domestic competitiveness and build a clean, decarbonized economy. This is in alignment with AMMTO’s vision for the future – a competitive U.S. manufacturing sector that accelerates the adoption of innovative material and manufacturing technologies in support of a clean, decarbonized economy.

This FOA seeks applications to address advanced platform manufacturing technologies that enable improved performance, manufacturability, scalability, reproducibility, and circularity of batteries. This FOA seeks to leverage the technology and capabilities developed by academia, including minority serving institutions, entrepreneurs, and industry, including small businesses.

Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
