NCAE-C in Cybersecurity Education Research Innovation 2024

This solicitation sets forth guidelines for areas of interest in cybersecurity for academic institutions designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) and known as National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, Research, and/or National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations (hereinafter referred to as NCAE-Cs).

The National Security Agency / NCAE-C Program Office (PMO) is soliciting proposals for grants in the area of cybersecurity education from NCAE-Cs. Proposals using innovative approaches, employing input from a diverse set of cyber education professionals are sought. There are 10 different grant types/focus areas (2.2.1 to 2.2.10 in the Solicitation), some requiring a coalition of institutions. Grants are for 2 years with an optional 3rd year. UW’s NCAE-C Point of Contact (POC), Marc Dupuis, must be included either directly or indirectly in proposals.

Application Instructions

  1. A one‐page letter of intent with a description of proposed aims and approach. Please cover your plan to involve UW’s NCAE-C Point of Contact, Marc Dupuis, who must be included either directly or indirectly.
  2. If the final application requires a diversity statement or statement of broader impacts, please summarize your plans to address the specific requirements on an additional page.
  3. CV (not biosketch) of the PI including past grant funding.

to limitedsubs@uw.edu by 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Proposals are due to the sponsor 6/7/2024, so you will need to have your materials in to the Office of Sponsored Programs by 5/29/2024 if given the go‐ahead by the Limited Submissions review committee.

Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
