Scientific Ocean Drilling Coordination Office (SODCO) for the Division of Ocean Sciences
NSF's Division of Ocean Sciences requests proposals for the establishment of a Scientific Ocean Drilling Coordination Office (SODCO), an organization that will provide scientific leadership and oversight of SOD and sub-seafloor sampling activities funded by NSF. The proposing organization must demonstrate an in-depth understanding of current, state-of-the-art drilling technologies for recovery of rock and sediment cores and the ability to successfully manage drilling activities for the scientific community as needed. The proposing organization must also demonstrate the ability to successfully manage and monitor an NSF Cooperative Agreement.

- A one‐page letter of intent with a description of proposed aims and approach.
- If the final application requires a diversity statement or statement of broader impacts, please summarize your plans to address the specific requirements on an additional page.
- CV (not biosketch) of the PI including past grant funding.
to limitedsubs@uw.edu by 5:00 PM Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Proposals are due to the sponsor 7/30/2024, so you will need to have your materials in to the Office of Sponsored Programs by 7/19/2024 if given the go‐ahead by the Limited Submissions review committee.

Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
