Scientific Discoveries Research

This grant opportunity seeks to support innovative and meritorious cancer researchers and teams pursuing scientific discoveries and breakthrough ideas in the fight against cancer. This opportunity will not only catalyze the next breakthroughs in cancer research but also may help bridge early discoveries and commercialization of therapeutics, devices, and tools to lessen the burden of cancer.

Important information includes:

•The grant project period is up to two years with an expected start date no earlier than October 2025.

•A minimum one-to-one (1:1) non-state funding match to the requested grant funds is required and must be secured at the time of application submission.

•Awards will be determined based on scientific merit as determined by third-party independent peer review.

  1. A one‐page letter of intent with a description of proposed aims and approach.
  2. If the final application requires a diversity statement or statement of broader impacts, please summarize your plans to address the specific requirements on an additional page.
  3. CV (not biosketch) of the PI including past grant funding.
