SFF-2025 S-Process Grant

Note: This is not a limited submission (the one-per-organization limit refers to individual labs/projects within the university) and is being announced as a courtesy only.

 

Survival and Flourishing Fund (SFF) is organizing another S-Process Grant Round in collaboration with Jaan Tallinn and Survival and Flourishing Corp (SFC), planning to announce recommendations by the end of September 2025. SFF uses a software-facilitated method (“s-process”) that promotes donor collaboration and delegates decision-making to a trusted committee of “recommenders”.

Between $10MM - $20MM in funding will be distributed in this round via three tracks: Main, Freedom, and Fairness. The Funder of this round, Jaan Tallinn, has provided the following guidance regarding philanthropic priorities, which highlights areas of consideration for funding

Applicants must be awarded a Speculation Grant in order to be guaranteed eligibility for consideration from an SFF S-Process Grant Round. Completing the SFF Funding Rolling Application will automatically submit a Speculation Grant Request on your behalf.

 

Application Instructions

Interested parties should apply directly to SFF by completing the SFF Funding Rolling ApplicationSubmitting by the S-Process Grant Round deadline is required for Speculation Grantors to settle a Speculation Grant to you in the upcoming round, so your chances of receiving a Speculation Grant are improved by submitting early.

Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
